I love the Tweetsie Trail! I ride here everyday to and from work on my bike, it is an amazing exercise. The trail makes it really convenient for people that to travel from Elizabethton to Johnson City (vice versa) and help save the environment.
Great trail. They also have some nice signs talking about the history of the old railroad tracks.
I love running here. Mile 3 from the Jc side is the quarry and some great views. Parking can be tricky when it's busy. They have extra parking down the road at cardinals stadium. It's a packed gravel surface. Lots of bikes and runners. Bikes often forget that they have to pass on the left and signal. All in all a great trail in Johnson city.

Great place to walk, ride bikes, etc. Sometimes there is a drug addict or 2 hanging by the entrance, but they are usually pretty nice. Still a good idea to lock the car though.
I wouldn't suggest walking at night unless u have protection.. And a group of ppl. We were walking and of course time change it gets dark earlier and park closes at 8pm, so we were walking back and most ppl seem great but their were a few that are leary..i noticed a lot of teenage kids smoking pot at night. It was real obvious. Of course i had my husband son and dogs with me so i wasn't uncomfortable, but some ppl may be offended. Great place for a long or short walk. Can be a little dangerous for kids with bikes due to their is not guardrail to keep them from going off the small cliff and then the very large one, so def be careful. I made my son push his bike a few times until passing and also ride in his wagon passing that area when we went. Other than those little bad spots it's great!!
