We had my daughter's reception at Maple Lane in December and it could not have been a more wonderful experience. Bernie is wonderful, he is so easy to work with. From our first contact he was very helpful and wiling to go out of his way to make Jessica and Adam's reception awesome. The food was delicious, everyone complimented me on the soups and pasta. Bernie had things to help us with decorating but also allowed us the freedom to decorate the way we wanted. I cannot say enough great things about Maple Lane and the staff. This is the most awesome place to have a celebration. Bernie is the one of the most wonderful people I have ever met and I would recommend allowing he and David to host any celebration.
Additionally, the day after my sister got married another couple was also scheduled to be wed at this venue. My sister, bless her heart, made the mistake of leaving all her rental items at Maple Lane Farms for the rental company to pick up the next day. Well, the next day wasn't going to be until Monday. Maple Lane Farm allowed for this couple to use my sister's already paid for and rented items. Had I not drop in unannounced looking for a misplaced bag and item, we would never know that Maple Lane Farm was doing this. What really grinds my gears was that I personally had to do a lot of the cleaning in the Pavillion where the reception was taking place, yet the couple getting married right after my sister, now had a clean venue and FREE rentals at the expense of my sister. Had any of the rental items been damaged, my sister and her husband would have been responsible for them.
Great facilities..Beautiful setting
First, the Pavillion was a mess with dried leaves and dirt all over the floor. Two hours out from the start of the wedding and reception (both scheduled here), the floor was still dirty. The owner left two leaf blowers on the table in the Pavillion with no one on site to clean up the mess. There were cobwebs everywhere and the chairs were covered with dirt. We have several guests and vendor witnesses who made comments about how unkempt the place was. I even brought this issue to him personally on the day of the wedding and he was very annoyed that I even asked that he help to clear the leaves and fallen branches that were by the gazebo where the wedding was to take place. He literally said in a sarcastic tone to me, "I guess that's my responsibility now too." while rolling his eyes at me. I mean, seriously. What's even worse was one of her guests was injured at Maple Lane Farm because the chair was so old and unkempt. The chair broke while the guest was seated and eating during the reception!!
I DO NOT recommend this venue to anyone after this experience. I am still astounded at the low quality of service we received here. These are very dishonest people. If you still plan on having your event at this place, be sure that you do not leave anything behind, including rentals you are contractually responsible for in the event of damages to the product.
After a long heated argument between the owner, my mother, and older sister, the owner, Bernie, provided my sister with a letter stating that he would be held responsible for the items my sister had already paid for, and which he mindlessly allowed another customer to use.
Brides, BEWARE!!
Avoid this venue if you can. My sister had a horrible experience in spring this year with this wedding venue.
Beautiful place for any event you want to have.
