This is a great hiking trail (white rock loop). There is a lot of erosion so I don't know how much longer we will be able to hike it. The city of Johnson City does nothing at the picnic areas. I have never seen it mowed or limbs removed. There is not even a porta potty ! A few people will come & hike but families will not even try to picnic because of poor maintenance & no bathroom access. Johnson City had an article in the Go Tri about their shining crown at Buffalo Mt. Park. They should be ashamed . I know whomever wrote that article has not taken their family there.
Several great trails to choose from. Use the white blaze trails for less strenuous Trails. Use blue marked ones for medium and red for very strenuous trails. Or walk the gravel road to the top and take the DeTour for the Overlook.
