Lady at Washington county/Johnson city health clinic sitting at the front desk is very unprofessional and rude. Need better service at the front desk!
Wait time is terrible I've been here over an hour still in lobby!!! All the doctors should be on the same page different doctors different course of treatment.
First off, it was like pulling teeth trying to get an appointment. After finding a lump during a beast exam at the RAM Clinic I was told to get it checked. Since I am in between jobs and have no insurance the health department was the only place I could go. I call to make an appointment and say I want to talk to someone about getting a mammogram. The lady on the other end replied back quite snarkily "Why do you want a mammogram, they don't just give them to anyone honey." After explaining she signs and puts me on hold for 5 mins before hanging up on me. I immediately call back to talk to the same lady who schedules my appointment after almost an hour of me pleading. I get to my appointment and apprently it was made for the day after they had told me, which I said I can't do because I'm in school and have class at that time. So I reschedule for 3 weeks later at the same time 2:30 pm. I get to my appointment, it was at 10 am. I don't know if the office workers can't read or think it's funny to change people's appointments in the system. Thankfully the doctor was able to see me at the time I was ACTUALLY told. This was the best part of my visit and why I debated giving a 4 star because the nurses and doctors were very nice and helpful and answered any questions I had and didn't belittle me especially after saying I was in school and had just recently lost insurance. They get me out not very quickly, but we're extremely helpful and we're able to give me a referral for an ultrasound, and told me to make a follow up appointment for 2 months. I tell the lady at the check out, who doesn't even acknowledge I'm there because she is talking on the phone, which was no big deal probably trying to not schedule an appointment for someone again, but didn't even look at my papers are ask if their was anything I needed to do. She just tore off one piece of paper and said bye. I tell her I need to schedule a follow up and she gives me this dead blank expression that seems like she's asking me what I just said. She said I would have to wait and call at the beginning of next year because she can't make appointments that far in advance. Why can you not make an appointment 2 months in advance? Why is your system not able to do that, when at a standard doctors office they can do them for up to a year in advance. The office workers are what made me want to give it a 2 star rating, but because the nurses and doctors were very helpful and respectful I gave them a 3. Maybe if the office workers can learn some communication skills and not be so rude to the paitents, and learn to read also, people wouldn't dread going to the health department.
They’re always really helpful. Angie that works in women’s/preventative health is soooo nice!!
I debated on giving them a 2 or a 4 star review, but couldn't give either. Sorry for the long article explaining why.
